In 2013, Nicole and Wayne packed up their lives in beautiful Cape Town and moved to Australia with their two young children, ready to begin a new chapter. After settling in Perth, Western Australia, Nicole followed a lifelong passion for retail and creativity.
With 16 years of experience in merchandising and buying for her family’s business, Nicole developed a strong eye for detail and a deep love for beautifully curated products. That passion led her to open her first retail store in Perth — a space that quickly grew into a well-known and much-loved brand within the community.
In early 2025, Nicole and Wayne made the brave decision to close their retail store and take their beautiful brand in a new direction — one that felt even more personal and meaningful.
As her own children grew older, Nicole found herself missing those precious early years — the softness of baby clothing, the joy of dressing her little ones in heirloom pieces, and the bittersweet moment of packing those treasured outfits away. Like so many mums, she felt the ache of knowing that season had passed.
But from that nostalgia, something beautiful was born.
With her experience sourcing high-quality baby clothing from trusted overseas suppliers and her love of thoughtful design, Nicole began creating a timeless collection of doll clothing inspired by the most exquisite children’s boutique fashion. This time, the designs weren’t for little humans — but for a very special collection of Mini Coletto dolls.
Nicci + Lu gives mothers and children a second chance to touch, feel and play — to dress their beloved doll babies in heirloom-inspired pieces that capture the magic of those fleeting early years.
